Measurement of sobriety and performance of a web portal

Who has not consulted the WiFi Portal on their smartphone during a journey by TGV INOUI? This web portal allows passengers, during their journey, to follow the progress of the trip, to order at the Bar and other possibilities. This portal is designed, developed and maintained by CRM Services, a subsidiary of the SNCF group. As part of its proactive “digital sobriety” policy, CRM Services asked Greenspector to verify the sobriety and performance of its application, to assess its CO2 impact and to identify areas for improvement.

Measure to understand and improve

Our consultants carried out a Greenspector App Scan measurement campaign on the TGV INOUI WiFi Portal.

On a recipe environment with datasets similar to the Prod, we have automated a representative user journey for the profession: authentication, consultation of the current journey, product search and placing in the basket for the order at the Bar, etc.

When these journeys are running on real smartphones, our Greenspector software collects all of the metrics needed for analysis, including energy consumption.

For this first analysis, the THV INOUI Wi-Fi Portal obtains the Bronze level Certificate of Digital Sobriety from Greenspector
